Working from home doesn't mean you have to stay at home and sit around like a caged bird for days. The advantage of having this flexibility is that you are not bound to a specific physical place to do what you want to do.
COVID-19 has changed many things and one positive change has been the broad adoption of remote work and the normalization of what used to be a stigma, especially in Germany.
Remote work doesn't necessarily mean working from a hut in the middle of the forest in Thailand but it can be working from a coffee, a restaurant, or anywhere else that is novel or at least interesting (or just at home of course). The only requirements are that there needs to be an available internet connection and enough calm during the workday.
This means not having many meetings for example, don't be a jerk and have all your meetings in a coffee, it's neither good for your colleagues or the people in the restaurant. Again, the pandemic has pushed many restaurants, especially around where I live, to provide free Wifi and acceptance for people working within their localities. This wasn't always obvious, but I'm very happy for the change.
Below is a list of places I've been to and tried out to do some solo work. I'll keep this list updated now and then. Feel free to email me your suggestions or to make a similar list.
Indoor only, good coffee. At the heart of Ingolstadt's biggest startup incubator. Tough to find parking spots, better go by bike.
